I know it has been a while since my last post, but I have been busy! (I know, it is the standard excuse used by all!) Some of you have been waiting to hear my good news! Well, I can share! At the end of November, Finn (Anna Dabrowska) and myself will be teaching on a Prima tour, through Indonesia!! We will be teaching in Surabaya, Jakarta and Bunei! Here is a blog link to "Shabby Chic Brunei" one of the stores we will be teaching at! I will be teaching 2 different classes on this tour. The first is a layouts class which will feature 2 LO's and an amazing kit of Prima goodies, and fun techniques!
My other class is a mini album class. I used the stunning new Firefly collection for this class and totally fell in love with the colours in this range. Again, lots of fun techniques will be covered during this class. Oooh I am just so excited to be teaching these classes and touring with Finn!!
Soooo, if you are in Surabaya, Jakarta or Brunei (or at least close) this really is a fantastic opportunity to take some amazing classes with Finn and myself. Can you see why I was a touch excited?? :)
I have also been formulating ideas for my classes at the Prima Art Venture Retreat in January! This is also going to be a not to be missed event!! With so many fabulous teachers in the one location it is the perfect opportunity to take some brilliant classes all in one weekend as well as indulge yourself at the beautiful resort. Absolutely can't wait until January!!
Since my last post, I also had a Live With Prima Class. I did have some silly technical issues at the beginning of the class (my camera just froze which is highly inconvenient during a Live Video class!!) But I got it sorted! Yes, me, the one who is not particularly techno savvy, managed to work it out! I usually go running for hubby, but he was at work, so it was all on my shoulders! Also had my cute little offsider Ashton with me, but he was very well behaved, so that was good.
First is Part 1 (sorry 2 parts due to fore mentioned technical difficulty)
Then the rest of it on Part 2
And here is the layout finished as well. Love the watercolour techniques I used for the background. So much FUN!!
OK adding to this post..... I am teaching a lot at Paper Flourish now as well. In face every Monday and Thursday night (between both Para Vista store and Enfield). In November I am commencing a Mixed Media technique class and it is going to be sooooo much fun. You bring an old hardcover book to the first class and this becomes the basis of your "art journal" to keep all the techniques you learn during class in. The idea is that each month you come to a technique lesson you will do two more pages in your art journal, learning new techniques along the way. In the first lesson we cover the journal and do one of the inside pages, you also get a bottle of "gel medium" in this class to bring back with you each month. First class is $19. The Para Vista class is already booked out but there are still spaces at the Enfield class. I think this is just going to be soooooo much fun!! I am developing quite a long list of techniques to try so I am sure there will be lots of inspiration along the way.
For bookings you can go Paper Flourish Website's online bookings.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and if you are attending one of my classes in Indonesia I would love to hear from you.
Wow, how exciting! I'm sure the class will be a huge success. Your lay-outs are simply stunning!
