Cute Photos

It has been a VERY long while since I have made the treck across town to Stephs place, mostly due to a certain child that is not at all good in the car, so bad in fact that the last time I went to Steph's he cried non-stop for 45 minutes of the hour long journey on the way back!  Needless to say, Steph travelled to my place for quite a few months after that experience, but it had come time to return the favour!  I will say that he only cried a little bit on the way there and none at all on the way back as he fell asleep!! 

While we were at Steph's we took the opportunity to take some more photo's of the girls together.  It is so lovely to look back over the pictures we have taken of the little sweethearts together and see how much they have changed!  Of course, in my chaos of trying to get 5 kids out the door on my own I totally forgot the camera, but no big deal as Steph had hers.  We both took pics and for some very impromptu photos we got a couple of gorgeous ones!

Now this photo was taken by me, but edited by Steph!  Isn't it just the most gorgeous moment captured!  What I find really interesting is when we edit photos from the same session and the different ways we do that!

But this one is the same photo, but I edited it and added a poloroid action and frame

It is really different as it gives a very 70's feel to the photo and you lose some of the sharpness of the image as well.  It will be interesting to see how it prints off.

So with any luck this will help me feel all mojo'ed up and ready to scrap, as I am afraid I am feeling a little creatively flat!  I even created a LO for the CR this week but was so unhappy with it I decided not to show it!  How sad is that.   This LO is from the previous weeks palette!

There were so many layers on this LO.  I enjoyed creating it and I got to play with  lots of my new Martha Stewart punches!

I have a heap more photos that I took while at the beach the other weekend, but I still have to sneak in some time to edit them.  Hopefully I can find a few moments to do those over the coming week!  There are times that I feel like I am so busy with scrapping that I can't even do other things that I want to get done.  I find myself thinking about all the other things I could do if I didn't have so many deadlines all the time!  But each week goes by and I keep on meeting my deadlines and the other things take a back seat and just have to wait.  Maybe one day, I will get to all those other things I would like to do! LOL!

So instead of spending time here on the computer typing up a blog post, I should go back and edit some more pictures!! LOL!  Thanks for stopping by my blog.

 

 

New Banner!!!!

Yes, Ashton is over a year old and this is the first time he has featured on this blog banner!!!!  I took a while as I am totally banner challenged!  In fact this gorgeous banner is not my creation at all, (I merely supplied the photos of the models for the banner) the hard work was all done by the talented Steph Devlin.  So so thankful that I have such a talented friend that was prepared to do this for me!! So for all of you who have hassled me about not updating my banner, it is now officially done, with recent pics of the kids and all!!

A bit has happened in our household over the last couple of weeks!!  The good, the bad and the ugly!!  The good......the kids have been pretty well behaved!!  Yes that is definately a bonus. Ashton has a couple more teeth that have finally pushed their way through, so hopefully that means he wont wake as much through the night, HOPEFULLY!! He has also discovered the "loud" volume to his voice and prattles on with his babble, CONSTANTLY!!  I can not believe I was ever worried about him being such a quiet non-talker when he was 9 months old!!  How the tables have turned.

The bad.....and the ugly are somewhat intertwined!!  We had a bout of gastro go through the entire family (except Paul which is the second time in a row that has happened!!) Ashton was the first to go down, throwing up all over me at my cousins 21!!  We had to hastily leave, I was not pretty with a shirt covered in baby vomit!  Nor did I smell too good either! LOL!  Besides we didnt want to have a room full of people coming down with gastro!  2 days later the rest of us went down within 10 hours of each other!  I washed so many sheets while feeling oh so seedy myself!  Lets hope their is not another bout of gastro for a very long time!!

When the kids were not sick.... I took some cute pics of Ashton devouring an Oreo biscuit!  They are really, really messy in the hands and mouth of a 1yo!

after a good chow down on the biscuit, it was time for some basketball!

 

 

Love this last shot, he really thinks he has a chance of getting that ball in the basket!  He doesn't realise that he cant lift it above his head yet!! Well, not without falling on his butt!

I also have a couple of LO's to share as well!  Firstly a double LO that I created using a Becky Fleck sketch for Aussie Scrap Source.

I dont do doubles very often, so it was a good challenge to do this LO.  The sketch was a fabulous help in giving me a starting point and then I just build on it with lots of details.

I created this LO for a Prima article in Scrapbooking MM.  I spent 12 hours on this LO and it is one of my favourite LO's. I was well and truly sick of hand stitching by the time I finished this.

OK it is late, and I am a week behind with my blog now, so I thank you for stopping by and I will try and update sooner than 2 weeks next time!!

I know that I am always frantically scrapping, but at the moment I feel like I am way behind trying to update this little blog with all the pages that have been shown online already!  So, where do I start! Hmmmm......

OK that is probably enough for the time being!  There are still plenty more LO's I can share but they can wait for another post.

Class at Paper Flourish - Sunday 21st November 10am!!

I think there are still some places left in this class.  Give the girls at Paper Flourish a call if you are wanting to book into my class. Here is a link for their contact details - Paper Flourish I have not taught a class since SIA back in May, so I am looking forward to the opportunity again!

BTW they got a whole lot of brand new Martha Stewart punches in this week!!  Not good for my budget at all!  Must not keep going in there after picking up the kids from school! But it is just soooo tempting, I have to drive past it on the way there and on the way back. Besides DH worked "graves" this week and needed the house to be quiet during the day for more sleep, so of course stopping by the shop keeps the kids out of the house!

I am also going to be doing a "Live with Prima" class in December!  I have to say, I am a little scared at the thought of this!  It is so much easier to stand in front of a class of people that are right there in front of you, where you can guage their reactions to the class!  Eeeekkk!  It will be a daytime class for those in Australia, as that translates to a late afternoon/ early evening class for those in the US.  I have made my projects so now I just have to work out all the u-stream stuff before then! Crossing my fingers it is really easy to work out!
