Temperatures and Tantrums!

Well it just seems to go hand in hand!  But it isn't just Kaitlyn who is sick this time!  Add Lachlan and Cameron into the mix as well!  Temps around 39degrees for 3 days straight, hacking cough and just plain miserable kids!  The older 2 boys are pretty good when they are sick, but miss K has been very clingy and sooky, mind you she slept for 3 hours straight today, so that helps!

By 4pm this arvo I was feeling so house bound and frustrated that I popped Kaitlyn in the pram and bundled the others off for a walk up to the local  shops.  Poor Lachlan just about coughed up a lung on the short walk up to the end of the street.  The milk was purchased and we came home.  Miss K loves being outside so I humoured her for a little bit and took out the camera while I watched her play.  Who could resist this face!

       

Yes she was a little grumpy and I also had to edit out some serious snail trails! LOL!  But she is still such a sweet thing!

Being house bound did mean that I have now got Miss K's quilt up to the final stage!  It just needs to be bound, but until Miranda finishes her quilting course and show me what to do...well I'm stuck at this stage!  So I have started on the quilt for Miss Madison!  I am such a sucker for punishment!

Almost a Tradition

Each year the Royal Show comes around and each year the kids have a pupil free day so they can attend.  Each year Paul and I cringe at the thought of how much money it will cost us to take all the kids to the show.  By the time you add up the entry, a showbag each, a ride each and don't forget food......well with 4 kids there is no chance it will be an inexpensive day.  So, we bypass the event each year.  The kids are great, they don't complain, but we give them good reason not to, it is a special family day!  We may not go to the show but we do take them to TTP where they can each buy a toy for $20, get a chance to play on the games in Timezone and then we have some lunch together.  It still costs us money but probably a third of what it would cost to go to the show. Cameron even exclaimed it was his "best day ever".  Got to love Kids!!

Well Miss K, got a little more than a $20 toy!  But we have only purchased 2 or 3 toys for her since she was born, so its not like we are spoiling her....this is what she got.....I mean, how could a mother resist such a cute 'girly'  toy!!!

 

Look at the glee in this girls eyes!  She loves it.  She also loves to push it over! LOL!

I also took some pics of the boys this morning.  I love it when I can get a few good shots of them.  For some reason quite a few weren't in focus (I think I was too close to them, but I was trying to keep them out of the glaring sunshine!)  Got this fantastic pic of Cameron which I can't wait to scrap!

  Yes, Mr Ethan had to sneak his little mush into a few shots as well.  He has been pulling some weird faces in his pics lately, so I was glad to get this more serious shot of him.  And don't worry, Mr Poser himself got a couple of good shots in as well!  I swear this boy could have been a child model, he just eats up the camera!

But wait.....there is more..... Yes I reeled off around 180 shots in 10 minutes this morning!  Yes I am a little obsessive but hey, I am allowed!

 

These two just epitomise mishchief!!!  They have the most innocent of eyes, but you can see all the mischief lurking behind that innocent facade!

Pssssst, Guess What?

So there I was, in my pj's, opening up my laptop at about 7am in the morning.....then up pops my email allerts on the bottom corner of my screen.  My eye was caught by the name, Courtney Walsh!!  Oh, I soooooo clicked on my emails to bring them up!!  Cause I sure wanted to read what Courtney had to say!  By this time my heart is beating on the outside of my chest....well, not actually as that wouldn't be very good for my health, but it sure felt like it! While I tried to still my pounding heart, my eyes read the following line...... "We are so thrilled to invite you to join our very first International Design Team." Now that is how a girl likes to wake up in the morning!  I can't wait to start designing for Chatterbox.  Anyone who knows me, knows how much I have loved this companies product for a very long time.  I have tonnes of it and I have used plenty of it (ie not just bought and stored it, actually put it to good use!).  Congrats especially to the other Australian girls (Kristine and Sarah) who made the team (us Aussies have to stick together) as well as the rest of the internationals and US/Canada girls.  Should be an interesting year!

In other news, Nanna has been released from hospital.  She is staying with my Aunty at this stage, while she recovers sufficiently and also waiting for the Housing Trust to fix up the pathways around her home to help prevent this happening again.  The cracks in the pathways have bothered her since she moved in and she has rung up 2x previously about this.  It is pure neglegence on the part of the Housing Trust to not ensure that these pathways are level as all the residents in these units are elderly.  Frankly, my Nanna has a very good cause to sue them over this!  Here is a pic of her all battered and bruised!

It just makes me so sad to see her looking like this!  Just for reference this is what she usually looks like!

 

Here is a LO I created with a couple of pics from the other day.  So I compromised, I scrapped a pic of my boys with Kaitlyn!  But don't worry, I have scrapped a pic of the 3 boys together, just have to photograph it still!  I have wanted to use this flocked Doodlebug paper for a while now as it is absolutely delish!!
