She has more teeth in that cute little head of hers! Two top front teeth and they are so cute! OK, I know, everything about her is cute to me! Maybe not at 4.30 or 5am when she decides that this is the time to wake up for the day, but the rest of the time, just pure cuteness! Those teeth made their appearance while we were camping at Easter time! Our usual Easter haunt on the river with friends had some very broken nights of sleep while those little suckers pushed their way through her little gums! Now I think I can see the teeth next to those just below the gum surface so I dont think we are done with teething for a little while.
Kaitlyn has also begun to clap her hands for us. I was playing with her on my lap the other night and she began copying me clapping! Just so cute! She will do it on demand at home for me but if I try and encourage her to show anyone else, well you may as well forget it! She is definately NOT a performer for others! LOL!!
Last night I was hit by a very disconcerting fact! That morning I had bought Lachlan a new school jumper and school pants. They were both a size 10 and I was thinking that maybe I should have got a size bigger for him so that I could get another year out of it. Now this train of thought led to me thinking about his age and that after this year he would only have 2 more years of primary school left!! I don't know why that was such a jolt for me, but I guess you keep thinking that they are just a little kid and you forget that it really has been 5 years since they started school! I'm afraid I just have to accept that he is growing up!
The concept of Lachlan growing up very fast is made more real by his behaviour at times. On Sunday he was in a mood and went and lay down on his bed and put the radio on quite loud! It was a "Oh my Goodness, this is teenager behaviour" moment! What is so odd about these pre-teen years though is how quickly they can display 'teen behaviou' and then transition to little child behaviour! No wonder it is confusing for them, but it sure isn't a picnic for the parents either!
Ethan is so adorable lately! He keeps going on and on about being a Mummy's boy!! Oh how I love that! I can lap that up for a very long time! Mind you, he is just buttering me up to get something, like chocolate and the like, but I am still quite happy to listen to him prattle on about being a Mummy's boy!
I have also been doing quite a bit of creating of late. I am on a mission to try and complete as many LO's as possible for Kaitlyns album. I am going through the pile of pictures that I still have to do to get her album up to date. Sometimes I think I need to take less pictures! LOL! So here are a few of the latest ones.
This one is about how she wants to reach out and grab everything! You know how you went from being able to sit them on your hip and do things while they quietly watched, then all of a sudden they are obsessed about touching, grabbing and putting everything in their mouths! Just had to record that for her album.
After reading in Ali Edwards latest book that she combines both 8x11 and 12x12 LOs in the same album, I decided to try a few LO's in this smaller size. I have really found it quite refreshing to play around with the smaller size. It is a great way to kickstart your creativity. This was one of those pictures that was just adorable. I kept persisting with a dummy so she no longer sucks her thumb so I am very happy to have this picture of a record that she was a potential thumb sucker! LOL!!
It is wonderful to still have my Nanna around to share all the special moments of Kaitlyn growing up. This LO is about the similarity of our Motherhood journey's. Nanna is amazing for someone who is 90!
Have done some more LO's but will share on another post!
