She said it....the baby talk every Mum wants to hear...mumumum!!! OK, it wasn't the first babble she came out with and DaDaDa preceeded mumumum but I still got very excited!! Officially it happened Monday (28th), the boys said they heard her say it that morning, but sometimes they tend to exagerate so I figured I would count it when I heard it. Well, we were at a 5th birthday party and I was sitting in the shade with a couple of other Mums on a picnic rug and as she rolled around, she began babbling, mumumum. Of course I was very excited!! I even had witnesses in case DH disputed it. But he heard her say it several times that evening so there was no denying it!
Kaitlyn can now sit by herself, but I wouldn't say she is that proficient at it just yet. I love it when they can sit. Oh so cute for taking pictures. She is also eating solids a lot better which is good. Thought she was going to resist that for quite some time. Mindy you she is quite miss chubby, weighing in at 8.3kg last week!! She doesn't look that big as most of it is deposited on the tops of her legs and her bum!
The boys went back to school this week and so far they seem to be enjoying their new classes. Unfortunately Lachlan has been put in a different class to nearly all of his friends, but we think it is a better class for him to be in so hopefully he will settle with some new friends. Cam proudly declared that he hadn't got into trouble yet! Its only been 2 days....lets hope not!! They are both planning on playing basketball this year and that will be on different days, so I will be extra busy taking them to games and practice on both Wed and Thursdays now. Not to mention they both want to be in choir and Cameron wants to start guitar lessons and Lachlan, drum lessons! Roll on Mum's taxi service.
Ethan has moved to the kindy room in childcare. He proudly tells us all he is doing in great detail! He and Cam are very similar in that department, they will give you a blow by blow account of their day. Lachlans info is far more sketchy! It is so hard to believe that E only has one more year to go before he starts school!
Last week, I caught up with Nic and Erica at the park. It was lovely to meet Erica and I was so impressed by her family. Her children are such gems. They make me want to have more kids and be a big happy family. It was so great to see Nic as well and catch up before her bubby girl arrives.
Today, I went over to Stephs for the day. Originally Kylie was going as well to take some pictures for us but ended up having a shocking night with next to no sleep and had to take a raincheck. I decided I may as well try my hand at taking a few pics and after reading somewhere (can't remember where exactly) about putting away the flash inside and using natural light, I took the plunge and was very happy with the results. So here are a few of my favourites.
So you get the idea that I took heaps and heaps of pictures!! Steph and I had a lovely day catching up and the two little girls were just adorable together! I am also convinced that Steph has the best place and props to take pictures. Just look at all that glorious pink feminine stuff we were able to surround the bubbies with! As for E and Emma, well they had a ball running around together and totally wearing eath other out! Yep, Ethan fell asleep in the car again on the way home!!!
Now I just have to find the time to scrap some of these wonderful pictures!! Can't wait to take another lot of pics in a couple of months time to update these girls growth. If you have made it to hear... tfl.
