I'm finally on the home straight! Less than 4 weeks to go and oh, so ready to meet my little girl! OK, now for a funny story....
I will make a suggestion to anyone who is pregnant or planning on having another baby, that if they decide to wax their legs at 36 weeks, make sure you pay a professional to do it!! You would think that would be fairly obvious to most, but I must have been having a pregnancy induced stupidity moment as I thought I would save some money and wax my own legs. Thank goodness there are no hidden cameras in my bathroom or I could have won funniest home videos with my contortions during this process! Here is the verbal run down!! Imagine putting a basketball up your shirt and then trying to bend forward to apply the wax - yes, very uncomfortable, but then I had to manouver to get to the backs of my legs and you can't exactly lean backwards much for the aforementioned basketball in place. I resorted to hoisting my leg up against a wall, so that the protruding basketball wouldn't get squished between me and my legs, rather in-elegantly sit to the side! For the record, my legs are smooth and silky now, I persevered until the task was completed!!
DH and I have been meaning to get the camera out and take some shots of my preggers belly, but it just doesn't ever seem to happen! When I had Ethan, we were going to do the same thing and I kept waiting until I got bigger, but Ethan suprised us and came 3 weeks early! Consequently, no preggers pictures of me for that pregnancy! Not very good for a scrapbooker! Anyhow, I was blog surfing and saw that Steph had got Kylie (otherwise known as Molly, she is our very talented card teacher at Scrapbook Station who has been taking classes in photography and setting herself up with some lovely equipment for that purpose!) to take some pictures for her and I thought they were lovely. I immediately rang Kylie and asked if she would mind taking some for me! Kylie was so lovely and arranged to come over the very next day (we didn't want to take any risks in making a date for the following week and then for me to go into labour early!!). We had some serious lighting issues, but Kylie worked around these and captured some beautiful shots.
I just love this shot. It is so dreamy. I had to go and pick the kids up from school and while I was gone, Kylie played around with it in iphoto and the results are amazing.
As you can see, Kylie has taken some lovely pictures and I am wrapped with the results. I still have quite a few that I want to play around in photoshop with before I share but I do feel inspired to create with some of these!
What is more amazing is that I don't mind the way I look in these pictures! It must be that pregnancy glow - or just make-up!!! LOL!!
For the record, Paul was a little put out by the fact that I didn't quite trust him to get around to taking some pictures, but he is still certain that he will do some for me (slightly more skin showing than these! LOL!) I will wait and see what comes first, the pictures or the baby!
One thing that I love right now is the number of people that ask me if this is my first baby!! Bless their lovely souls as it just warms the cockles of my heart!! Takes me back almost 10 years in age!! I also have to say I love seeing the gulp in their throat when I say with the biggest smile imaginable that no, this is my 4th!! Most then respond with a OH, you will be busy, or how old are your other children, but the ones that really give me a thrill are those that tell me I look too young to be having my 4th child, now they are the true gems of this world when it comes to making a woman feel young!
