O'kay, I did it. I actually ended up doing an ET entry. I have been going back and forth wondering if I would bother this year. So many things on my mind and so little inspiration, but I kind of figured that it would at least force me to scrap something, so I kept plugging away with the paper, photos and scissors and finally managed to put together 5 LO's. Tomorrow they will find their way to the post office. Last year I loved the entry I had put together, I felt like I suprised myself with the layouts I created. I certainly don't feel that way this year, and I feel more like it is an intellectual entry this year. Much of the journaling (which is predominately hidden) is deeper, reflecting the state of my mind ATM. These layouts were for me, and I know they will hold a special place in my heart, long after the ET awards have been decided and that is far more important than anything else to me at this point.
We held our Weekend at Whalers, scrapbooking camp on the weekend and nature provided us with perfect, sunny days, so our sensational view of the beach while we scrapped was perfect!! All the ladies there were delightful and we had a fantastic time. What was even sweeter, was I received an email last night, thanking us for putting on such a wonderful weekend. I really appreciate it when people take time out of their busy lives to say thankyou.
When I got home yesterday afternoon, I was greeted by 3 very excited boys who ran to me yelling, we are going to the beach!!! I literally climed out of the car, changed my shoes, hopped in DH car and was whisked away to the beach with the family! I was a little too exhausted to appreciate it, but the kids had a ball, having fish and chips by the sea! They also talked non stop to me all the way there and home, so I will take it that they missed me just a little bit!
I have a busy few days ahead of me as I brace myself to teach an entire 20 page album in 3 classes! Hopefully it will all go without a hitch. Here is the last page of the album. I just love pictures taken of little kids walking off into the distance. Just so cute.
