Well I have been missing in action for quite some time in the land of blogdom! You know how it is, you feel like there is very little to tell and too many other things crowding out your days with priority messages stuck all over them!
Part of being so busy has been organising our Creative Edge Weekend in Adelaide in January (see this for more details) Download scr83_52_scrapbookstation_2.pdf As you can see we have some of the biggest names in scrapbooking teaching at this event! As we have limited seating for the classes the incredibly talented ladies will be teaching we have to have bookings on a first in first served basis. To register your interest just email us at info@scrapbookstation.com.au and we will send you out the details of classes and costs as soon as they become available. Once the email has been sent out then it is a case of first to book in gets the seat! This really is going to be a not to be missed event!
On the home front, I just have to share one of the funny things that Ethan has come out with this week! Ethan is obsessed with his baths and every night after tea, he strips himself off and demands to have a bath now! When he got out of the bath this week he came out with the cutest saying! He's standing in front of us, dripping wet with the towel over his shoulders, shaking his head slightly and saying "I have the bath in my ear!!!" Paul and I cracked up, just so adorable the way toddlers think!
On the bedtime, sleeping front with E, I have given up trying to put him in bed at his usual bedtime and now he snuggles with me on my lap for 30mins to an hours after the big boys have gone to bed and then I put him in their room. E always wants to sleep with Cam now, but I need Cam and Lachlan to be asleep before he can go to bed otherwise he just keeps the others awake. I have to say that I really enjoy the cuddle time with him before bed!
On the scrapping front, I feel like I have hit a creatie wall. I can produce layouts but none of them are really grabbing me. It is so frustrating when you have ideas but trying to bring them to fulfillment can be a whole other story! I have so much to do (like an entire 8x8 Xmas album for class at the shop) plus other layouts for different assignments! Aaaargh.... I know creating should never be a source of frustration as we are supposed to be doing this for our own enjoyment and happiness, but sometimes deadlines and self imposed criticalness can crowd out the enjoyment. Hopefully the rest of you are having a wonderful time in creative bliss and this phenomenon is contained to my own scrapping!
Till next time I pull my finger out and make a post to blogland!......
Welcome back to blog land! Nice to see you posting again. Sounds like you are really busy organising the creative edge, cant wait to hear more about it.
Love Ethan comments - too cute.

yAY, I'm glad you are back! I've missed having you around IYKWIM. I know what you mean about putting expectations on yourself. Do what Viv told someone over here to do, just pick up the first 5 things on your table and do a LO with them.

your touch of paradise layout a while back blew me away - it's on my top ten fave ever list. (not a list i've made but if i did i know it would be there). there's been a few creative funks around lately - i hope you come out of yours soon.

good to see you back in blogland. i totally agree with you that scrapping should be for our own enjoyment and sometimes the deadlines just takes the enjoyment part away.

LOL What cute things they say hey!! *giggle*
I know what you mean about "the wall", sometimes a day or two away from any scrapping really helps. Everyone needs a little creative break I think. Your LOs are always so gorgeous! :-)
Take care!

So good to see you back Janine.
Oh THAT wall!!! I think it is always so close to all of us. So sad we miss the real reason why we loved this hobby of ours in the first place.
Hope to see your wonderful work again soon.
Very cute Ethan!

Hi Janine :-)
Can't at all imagine you hitting a creative wall! With all the other pressures of life though, it sometimes makes it difficult doesn't it? I have no doubt you will pull yourself out of this slump and amaze us all yet again!
I love Ethan's "bath in the ear" comment - what a gorgeous little fellow!
