Dare LO No 2

Well, I just love a challenge at times and Audrey Underwood came up with this fabulous challenge for the How Dare You site!  Our work had to be inspired by the talented Teesha Moore and she is one artistic gal!!  I had heaps of fun with this and loved using bold and vibrant colours.  Here is the result of my creating.

I have used heaps of different patterned papers including Provo Craft, Heidi Grace, Anna Griffin, Hot of the Press and even some from a paper pack purchased from Big W!  Then I wend wild with embellishments as well!  I love this picture of Ethan, I love everything about this little guy, from his gorgeous expressive blue eyes to the cheeky mannerisms he is developing.  This LO has been created to remind me of how much I want to bottle him at this age as I now realise how fleeting time is and before long I wont be able to claim that he is a baby anymore (people keep telling me he's a toddler not a baby, but I flatly refuse to believe them! He is still my baby!)

In a previous post I was saying how Ethan has begun to get out of bed and sneak into the boys bed to sleep...then I was saying it was cute, well now it is becoming a bit of a problem as he goes in and wakes up the boys!!!!  He used to go down at 8.30pm and we didn't hear boo from him, now he just keeps sneaking out of bed and is up until 10.30pm!!!!  I know we could try and take away his daytime sleep, but he is such a grump without it that we have resorted to just letting him sit on our lap watching TV for an hour after the older 2 are in bed and then putting him down!  I dont really mind, except that it takes away from valuable scrapping time!  But I do love him sitting on my lap, he is quite adorable.

Well I have heaps of stuff that I need to go and do, so this will have to do for an update at this stage!  Have to admit I am having great fun checking out the sneak peaks for CHA, so much more yummy stuff I am just going to have to have!!!  I have added the CBX blog link to my side bar so check it out, they have the new paper ranges displayed on it and are updating each day with the new paper ranges.  More scrummy papers calling for me to use them!!  Have fun and thanks for all the kind words you lovely ladies left after my last post.

Blogged Down!

Apologies to everyone for how little I have been blogging lately!  I haven't even been doing my usual blog rounds, so I will endeavour to do this as well! 

After my mammoth effort of 20 pages for an album in 1 week, I haven't scrapped since then!  Well that is until today!  I have been playing around with ideas for my LO for the How Dare You site and finally came up with this one today.  Mind you, I wrote 3 different lots of journaling before I decided upon this and originally I was going to use Anna Griffin papers, but the K'ology range seemed so much more applicable to the darker nature of this LO.

It was good to scrap again and I really need to do a whole lot more!  The ideas are starting to enter my befuddled brain again, so that is at least a good sign.

My best friend Kym has been in Adelaide over the last few months to have her baby, but today she has returned to Melbourne for 2 weeks while awaiting the Visa for her baby to return to PNG.  Her timing of coming to Adelaide couldn't have been better for me.  It has been so wonderful to have her friendship and support at a time when I really needed it.  I have even convinced Kym to start her own blog when she returns to PNG, so I can keep updated with how her little boy Madi is growing and all the interesting things she is doing in her life.

I realised that I haven't shared any pictures of Kym or her baby here, so it is time!!!  Firstly, this is Kym a week before she had Madi, in full bloom and looking positively radiant. Kym was extra please that she didn't get any stretch marks on her tummy!!!  Lucky girl!

This is her adorable baby Madi on the day he was born!  He was such a little cutie!  He has been an absolute angel for Kym!  He barely ever cries and he is an excellent little eater!  Growing extrememly rapidly.  Here is a picture of him from last week, he was 5 weeks old when this was taken. 

Thought I would also share the beautiful bunch of flowers my wonderful Husband bought for me and left on my scrapping desk (lucky for him I had cleaned up the table a little bit and there was actually some room!)  They are lovely here but over the last week a lot more of the blooms have opened up and it looks even more beautiful.
