I have decided that there is a new phenomenon taking over my life, time stealing!! I don't know how it happens but it just does! Has anyone else experienced this?? Surely I am not the only one experiencing losses of time I thought I had to get stuff done? When I was a kid, I used to look at my parents with raised eyebrows when they would proclaim how quickly time was flying by and how it went quicker and quicker each year, but it is true, it really does happen. Somehow, defying logic or physics, time does speed up as you get older!! True story, it does!!!
You see, I have suddenly found myself at the beginning of a new decade in my age. Oh yes, and isn't my husband rubbing that one in as he is 4 months younger than I am!! I turned 40! Seriously, how did that happen?? It sounds sooooo middle aged!! I don't feel like I am 40, hopefully I don't look like the stereotyped imaged of a middle aged woman that I have in my head, and hopefully I don't act like one!
To comemorate such a monumental event I asked Cameron to take a photo of Paul and I together as that is actually a really rare thing!! We barely have any pics of the two of us together. Cameron is yet to work out zoom on the camera! I had to crop this significantly! But it will suffice to capture me at 40 and Paul still 39!
Paul and the kids got a Pandora necklace for me (I think he is brave, as honestly those Pandora's are just a great excuse to spend money on yourself!), and lots of chocolate because every girl loves chocolate!
I had a divine Tiramisu cake made by Alfreso 2 Cakes and Gelati and the wonderful Wendy Watchman (a customer at Paper Flourish where I work) recognised my name and offered to add some Prima flowers to the top of my cake to decorate it for me. I was a touch excited by this as it really is the perfect way to decorate a cake for me!! I supplied a large bag of Prima flowers all in pinks, greeens, teal and mauves and Wendy worked magic with them. The cake itself was DIVINE!! Oh I would go back and buy the cake for the sheer pleasure of eating it!
So that is the major thing that happened during February!! I also taught quite a few classes at Paper Flourish, including this boyish layout which was designed to be made on a budget!
as well as some cards with a fun Summertime feel to them....
I have been feverishly working on more new classes for a trip to Western Australia that I will be making in late April. They will be up at Geraldton, so quite north of Perth, but I am really looking forward to it. I will be teaching 2 layout classes, one masculine and one feminine as well as an OTP class (Mixed Media Canvas) and a card class using brand new Sizzix dies designed by Prima. On top of creating all of that I had to work on all my March lessons for Paper Flourish as well. Yep, feeling a bit exhausted now!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Oh my. You look fabulous for 40! Now, I might have been looking for an excuse, but was reading about my health age (which is 26yo by the way). It certainly makes one feel better knowing that you can trick your body of the age the calendar says it is!
Wish I could have been at your party though. That would have been lovely! xx

Oh darls, you're fantastic! Such a lovely pic. I agree, we all tend to take hundreds of photos of the kids and forget ourselves! Maybe every birthday you take a pic together. Hope we can find some spare time in there, somewhere xx
