So today is the day I fly out to the US for CHA and Art Venture!! Yes, I should be packing but here I sit, finally doing a blog post! I may be procrastinating with my packing!! I can not wait to catch up with the Prima girls that will be over there. It really is such an amazing opportunity and I just have to pinch myself that this is real!
Now the reason for my tardy updating here is straight out frantic crazy creating for CHA! Up to my eyeballs in deadlines! I can show you a few of my projects as they have been shown on the Prima blog already! First up a canvas that I made. It is around 24inches x 12 inches, so quite big and I used the new adorable Julie Nutting stamp on it with lots of masking and misting. The paper pieced house was truly the most time consuming part of the design, but it was worth it. I have used the new Prima Hello Pastel line to create this.
Love those new wooden mushrooms! Super cute and easy to alter.
So you get the idea!! How gorgeous is that stamp???!!! I love them and there are several different ones that I know I will need EVERY SINGLE ONE!!
Next up is a project that I truly had a blast creating. I have seen the cool book art with folded pages but I really wanted to give it a "Prima" spin with lots of feminine flowers spilling all around it. I have also used the new Prima Mechanicals line designed by Finnabair, but I have painted them white with gesso, for a more shabby chic feminine approach to this project. It also shows the versatility of those products with a bit of paint they have a totally different feel.
This is also the project that I used a bottle of gel medium on to hold to the base!! I still think it may be a little damp in the very centre!! Lets hope it all holds together!
Changing the subject.... We had a wonderful quieter Christmas this year, but prior to Christmas when I was creating our annual photo book I discovered I didn't have a single group photo of all the children! I have one great group photo of the kids minus Ethan, but that just isn't good enough, so on Christmas day I took some photos!
Totally love this photo of 3 of the brothers!! So so cute!
See all those cute little baby teeth in that smile above......well one of those front teeth came out the other day. My baby girl is growing up and that makes me a little bit sad!
At least I got some cute images from Christmas day! Time to cut this post short and go and pack my bags ready to fly out!! Feeling a bit excited! If you are at CHA make sure you stop by the Prima booth and say hi to me!

Have fun & safe travels! Gorgeous projects. The book piece is TRULY AMAZING!!! U little art genius !! Great Xmas shots too XX

my goodness me. that folded book is simply breathtaking. And I love the originality of it in the scrappy world. That sure will be an eye catcher at CHA. Prima to display the projects particularly well so I'm sure it will be a focus point in one of their displays. Enjoy CHA!! you lucky thing. I was there last year and I would love to go again. Lots of Aussies there this year.
