So the little girl has been making us laugh a lot lately! Yesterday as we were all bundling into the car at 7.45am for the frantic run of childcare and school drop off before I went to work, Miss Kaitlyn pipes up from her carseat...."are you over it Mummy?" I admit, at first I was a little taken back, but then I laughed and laughed. Yes, in my frustrated moments I have been known to say "I'm over it!", so I guess she was just taking the frantic rush to get out the door would mean that Mummy was "over it"!
As I was relating this to Paul over dinner he told me how she had given him a big hug when he was putting her to bed the previous evening and whispered in his ear, "You're my whole world"! Yep, I could be responsible for that little notion as well!! LOL! I am usually greeted by her saying "I love you sooooo much Mummy" each time she wakes up! So so adorable. And another regular saying, "You're my best friend, Mummy!" That is interchangable with the word Daddy as well, depending upon her mood!
We have also come to the bottom of the case of "Julian"! "Julian" has been the focus of so many of Kaitlyns conversations with us over the last year. We had always presumed that Julian was a boy at childcare that she knew, but as time has gone by, her stories about Julian have become increasingly more elaborate and by elaborate, I really mean highly ficticious!!!! I finally remembered to ask her carers at childcare if there was a boy named Julian that she was friends with as I was beginning to suspect that Julian is her imaginary friend!! My suspicions were confirmed! There is no Julian at childcare, has not been in the time she has been there! He is her imaginary friend, and let me tell you he lives an "amazing" life in her head! Whatever the boys come home telling us about school, it seems that 5 minutes later, Julian has done something similar but a little more bizarre!! We had suspected he was imaginary for a while and with the increasingly flamboyant stories our suspicions grew. But now we know, and it is rather amusing as none of the other children have had an imaginary friend before.
Our household has had to endure yet another bout of gastro this week as well!! Once again, Ashton brings it home from childcare and 1 by 1 the rest of us go down like flies! Not pleasant at all. Then to top it off, Ashton has also cut another couple of molars as well as has a virus and an ear infection now! Glorious!!! NOT!! He is one very very clingy little bubby!
We are also discovering the "joy" of having 2 boys in the age bracket of 11-14 years!! I have heard from multiple sources that this is the age where boys are most difficult! With only 22 months difference in age between the eldest 2 boys, there is a mountain of raging testosterone boiling in our household! These two are really starting to fight with aggression these days! We are not talking about a few nasty words, we are talking about hand to hand combat and at an increasingly alarming rate, hand to face combat! Wow life is just peachy! Please tell me this will subside and fine young men with manifest themselves on the other side like the metamorphasis of a butterfly!!
Onto scrappy stuff! I have been going through my folders of images of LO's and there are quite a few that I have never shared here on my blog. Here are a couple of LO's that I created around 12 months ago but never went up on the Prima blog as the new product arrived and all the focus went to showcasing that. I actually loved both of these LO's, in fact they sat on stands on my scrap table, so I could just look at them when I came into create! LOL!
I still love this line of papers by Prima! So so beautiful! I have heaps of creating that I have to do and no where near enough time free of children to get it all done! I guess that is why they say just take one day at a time! Thanks for stopping by!
