Always doing things! Never a dull moment. Never time to just sit down and relax. The crazy busy part of life also means that the days fly by and before I know it another week has passed! I find that going to work is actually easier than staying home looking after the kids! If it wasnt for the crazy starts to the morning to get everyone out the door before 8am, I would love going to work as there is no one there whinging, or tugging at my leg demanding I do something for them now. (well most of the time! LOL!)
When I am not working it seems the days pass in a flurry of cooking, cleaning, playing with kids and scrapbooking! I swapped a day of work around this week so that I could work a full day instead of a part day, and in doing so it freed up my Tuesday for a day of creating. I can not tell you how blissfull that day was! I managed to create 2 LO's and a card and it felt sooooo good. I miss my dedicated Tuesdays of scrapbooking!
Yesterday, Paul had a day off and so did I....that NEVER seems to happen any more. We picked the kids up after school and drove into the markets. I came home with bags and bags of fruit and vegetables, in my head I have a menu planned out and I had better stick to it as I can barely fit another thing in the fridge as it is so packed with fresh fruit and veg! It was just so nice to go in and do something as a family. The boys were far more excited by the drive home, as we went home the "long way around" so we could drive past all the "fancy" car yards! The boys get oh so excited by Ferrari's, Maserati's and Porsche cars! I live in a household filled with testosterone!
I have so so so many projects to share on this blog, too many for one post but here are just a few!
Firstly a LO for TCR from last week, yes I know I am behind here! This was palette #29
and now for palette #30
I love the way Leeann Pearce creates a lot of her own dimensional flowers but as I have such a large stash of Prima goodness I rarely try this sort of thing, but this time I decided to give it a try. Love the dimension and texture it provides.
I had some scraps staring up at me from the table after I created this LO. You know all the things you did not end up including on your LO. So I made them into a card.
I know that I never get to have snow shots but I am a touch in love with snowflake punches and have decided that they dont have to be on winter pages! Well that is my opinion as I adore the shape so much! They really are just so pretty and feminine!
Now for some Halloween goodnes! I had this large plastic container on my bench, ready to be thrown out when it occured to me it would be perfect to repurpose to a lolly jar! So I went to town on it, trying to achieve a chaotic pretty effect. I didn't want to use perfect pretty flowers so went for more rugged shaped flowers. Now it sits above my computer desk here and every so often I reach up and unscrew the lid (carefully so as not to catch the beaded branches! LOL) and have a little treat!
So there are a few projects I have now updated! Still lots more, but I will get to those in time!
In other news, I have enlisted the help of Steph to help me create a new banner for my blog. It has been over a year since Ashton was born and he still isnt on the banner! Sad, but true. In the process of finding pics to use I discovered that I really need to take some more updated photos of the older boys! I have plenty of the younger 3 but not so much of the 2 older ones. But here is the 5 pics I have chosen to use on the banner.
The pics of the last 4 are all taken within the last 6 weeks but the one of Lachlan is almost 6 months old! I do have a couple of pics of him from the last 6 weeks but he keeps on pulling a goofy smile. I think they get to a certain age and they forget how to smile naturally. Hopefully soon there will be a wonderful new banner on this blog!
