Yes, I am drained! My little guy was sick this week. Not just the "little bit sick" variety but the type that gets a Mother of 5 kids worried! He was listless, had to be held constantly and even when being held would whimper and cry! Most times my kids are really sick they just go to sleep for hours, but he was just sort of dozing in and out of sleep and whimpering. I took him to the GP who immedialty referred me onto the Childrens hospital where I was seen almost immediately! Now in the public health care system here that is a first!! Ashton was seen by a doctor within 30 minutes of me arriving at the hospital and a pediatrician was called shortly thereafter and he was taken for bloods. He either cried or just lay on me drifting in and out of sleep. They finally got his temperature down with a mix of both paracetamol and ibuprufen, then he perked up! They had prepped him for a lumbar puncture to test for meninjitis but as they had managed to get the temperature down, they didnt end up doing this. Apparently it wouldnt have responded to the drugs if it was meninjitis, so we avoided that nasty procedure! His blood tests came back not showing infection, so they let me take him home, confident it is just a viral illness. He is still grizzly, but he at least has an interest in his world again and is acting like a normal sick baby, not scary sick!
Cams knee is doing well, the stitches should come out on Monday! Yay!! At least then that will be one less lot of Dr visits to worry about each week! The challenge will be to keep him from being to active. He is already pushing the limits a bit as it isnt painful, so he thinks he can do anything now! I just do not want him ripping it apart as that would be terrible. Fingers crossed I can get it through his head that just because it isnt painful doesnt mean it isn't "fragile" still.
OK onto projects I can share! I actually have to many to do in one post so will do a few now and some later! Firstly Palette 12 is now up on The Color Room
How elegant is this palette! I know it would be great for a boy page or heritage but I ended up scrapping Kaitlyn! Of course!!
Lots of punching and hand stitching on this again. Seems like it is circles and hand stitching for me at the moment! My latest thing!!
Now I have also been busy with LO's for Aussie Scrap Source . Sometimes these layouts have been done quite some time ago! The mad creating ends up meaning lots of layouts for this blog, if only I updated more.
What post wouldn't be complete without a bit of Prima goodness!! These couple of things I did a very long time ago, as in back in November for my friend Hilary's wedding. Some things take a while before they end up on the blog!! The first one was a guest book that everyone signed at the wedding.
I still have a lot more to share!! But that is enough for today! Once again thanks for stopping by my blog.

Just gorgeous Janine. Love your lace card(?) at the end. And your LO for the color room this week is very delish. Love it lots, so elegant!
Hugs Leonie

Poor little Ashton! It's scary when they're so sick, isn't it. We had the same fantastic experience in children's ER too. When Jamie was sick recently we were seen immediately. No waiting whatsoever. As soon as the triage nurse saw him, we had a pack of doctors come running. I was blown away and ever so grateful for a fantastic experience (well, no, fantastic is not really the right word because I was scared out of my mind for my child, but you know what I mean!).
Lovely lovely artwork. I do not know where you find the time. I try, but there's no way I can have even a quarter of your output. I need another set of hands!

Glad to hear Ashton is feeling better.
That colour room palette is devine. Hmmm... haven't done one of those yet, maybe I should give it a go. LOL... hope next week is better for you.

I am a lurker on your blog and a fellow Aussie. I love your work, it is always stunning! I shed a tear at your blog tonight. 6 years ago I had a similar experience with my 2 week old baby girl. She did have meningitis and it was the scariest 6 weeks with her in hospital. I am pleased to say she is now a gorgeous healthy 6 year old.

That sounds so scary... Glad to hear that he's doing better now. I hope he'll be the happy, healthy baby as he was before soon.
Your work is, again, total eye candy... I can't even pick a favourite between all your work: it's all so beautiful. You're the best!

Not quite sure how you juggle all things - but hey, you are certainly a talented multi-skilled mum!! Love the layouts - and I must say that the wedding album and card are my fave(funny that)!!! Still have to finish the album inside, will bring it over one Friday nt. Have a good weekend - hope Ash and Cam behave themselves.x

So much loveliness! I love them all! So sorry your little one is sick, but I'm so glad it wasn't anything serious.

OMGoodness girl! You've had quite a week. Sounds like we've both been busy visiting hospitals this week with potentially scary things. So glad Ash is okay now, but hope that the grizzles go soon. Beautiful LOs, but you know I don't expect anything less from you. xxxxx

Oh I am so sorry to hear about your little one. So relieved to hear that he is starting to pick up. It is a worrying time when they get so sick
Janine, your creations always blow me away. **sigh** they are always so, so perfectly composed and totally beautiful on the eyes

Sounds very scary, glad Ashton is ok now. Never seen my kids that sick before and I hope I never do. Makes you feel so helpless.
LOVE this weeks TCR LO, what is that flower trim, it's like Websters but not the same colour, gorgeous.
