A weekend of pure indulgence with a couple of friends, loads of good food and crafting. Is that not a dream come true?? Well for the other 3 friends it was a wonderful kid free weekend, but I still have a little attachment that requires his nourishment from his mother, so I was almost kids free. But that 1 little kid can make a big impact especially when he decided to be a cat napper!! I eventually got a good sleep out of him on both the Saturday and the Sunday, but I had to re-settle him multiple times, which as you can imagine takes away a lot of crafting time!! Mr Ashton was quite a good boy when he was awake though which was a blessing, he seemed to quite like sitting at my feet, while I chatted to him whilst sewing away!
Yes, I sewed instead of scrapped all weekend! I am such a compulsive person!I have been asked by several people if I would sell these little creations so I thought I would make a couple of sets and offer them for sale on my blog. So here are two little sets for anyone who is interested. They are $50 for a set plus $5 P&h if going to an Australian address.
Set 1- size 3
Set 2 - Size 3
Just email me if you are interested in either of these 2 sets. You can find my email link just under my profile picture.
I know I am late posting this layout on my blog for Color Combos Galore, but at least I have got to it now!! The combination was the choice of the lovely Steph and she had a combo of 3 greens and a purple. I found this combo just flowed effortlessly for me. So love it when that happens!!
Of course I added some Prima Flowers to this LO. I had been wanting to scrap this picutre for a while and had not yet found the right LO for it, so I was very happy when it worked so well on this one. I just cant believe that he was that small not that long ago. Now Ashton is over 7kg and has started eating "real food" Ok, it is just pureed veges and fruit, but he gobbles it up like it is delicious.
I also had this layout up on the Prima blog. I must say it was quite a massive excersize in hand cutting to do this one, but I love the way it looks like Miss Kaitlyn is emerging from a garden. Worth the time and effort to cut out all those intricate bits with a craft knife!!
I just love all the brightness of the Prima paper and flowers in this range. Just love all the colour. But I am sure there are no surprises that I love a bit of colour.
I also had a lovely visit from Steph, Madison and Lydell on Monday. It was so lovley to watch the two little girls play so beautifully together. They pottered around playing with dolls, wrapping them up and putting them into Ashtons basinet. They were so very very sweet together and then to add to total cuteness, Miss Kaitlyn asked today if we could see Madison!! While us bigger girls were inside enjoying coffee and cake I couldn't help ducking outside to snap a couple of pictures of them together.
I really love this picture, so candid and full of emotion. And look at the hair on my little girl!! I swear her hair looks perfect all the time! She gets up in the morning and it looks fabulous. One quick comb through and it is perfect!! Yes, I am jealous of my daughters hair!! Now I just need to work out a way of getting her to keep hair accesories in her hair instead of ripping them out to let her glorious mane of hair loose. At times it would be better not having it swirling free, like when she is eating her food!!!
On that note, I had better post this before I leave it another few days! Yes I do that!!! But before I do, my good friend and fellow flower girl Malin has finally started a new blog! Go check it out as she has beautiful work. TFL
