I had my 20 weeks scan on Wednesday! How very exciting to see the wee little one wriggling and squirming (actually he is pretty quiet) and see how he is looking! They tell me that everything looks normal which is great and the scanning equipment also had 3D function, so i even got a 3D picture! Most of the time the umbilical cord was in front of his face, or his hands were, which was a bit of a pain for getting a good picture. I still marvel at how they do the 3D scan images, just amazing. So here are a couple of pics!~
And the 3D mode. I think it looks like he has a little cats mouth in this pic! Lets hope not and blame it on the way the picture was taken! Everything else looks like the rest of my babies! I swear they are all little peas from the same pod when they are born! Just that some have thick hair and others barely any! LOL!
It was also an exciting week as my best friend Kym had a bouncing baby boy last Saturday! I told her before the baby was born that she was going to have a 9lb'er as her tummy was much larger this time than last but she didn't look like she had gained any more weight than last time, so by my deductions it meant....big baby! Guess what? I was right!! Baby Noah was born in the early hours of Saturday morning (23rd May) by emergency C-Section. Huge congrats to both Kym and Steve and little Madi who now has a little brother for competition!
My scrapbooking has been a lot less prolific of late. I just dont seem to have much inclination to scrap, but due to FK mag being sold to another publishing house an article I had coming up in September has now been decomissioned. So I am free to show you the layouts here! It was for a feature on modern masculine pages!
This one came together so easily, within 1hr!! And I just love it. Maybe one of my fave masculine layouts. Just love the flow and the colours in it. The swirling leaves are actually from a Napkin that I mod-podged directly onto the page! The guy in the pic is my Cousin Brett, all dressed up for my other Cousins wedding. The scary thing is that it doesnt seem that long ago that I was holding him as a baby and taking him for a walk in his pram!! I also remember when he and his sister spent the day with me while on holidays from Fiji (my Uncle worked in PNG and Fiji for many years) and Brett was about 8 or 9 (and Lachlan was a 6 month old baby) and he turns 21 in June!! What the?????? Where did that time go!! This is what makes me feel OLD!! LOL!!
Tomorrow is the last Sunday I have to work in the shop! People keep coming through and asking me if I am sad, but I just dont feel that way. I am soo looking forward to reclaiming my weekends, spending time with my family and having a life back that I find it a bit hard to feel sad. Karen and I will still be working Tuesdays and Fridays in the shop until it is all cleaned up, packed up and we hand back the keys by the end of June. Maybe then I will feel a bit teary, knowing that my second home will be no more. But overall, I am just really looking forward to being a SAHM. TFL!!
