I dropped off my little girl to childcare yesterday, with a cute little headband on to keep her hair out of her eyes and when I returned the little darling looked like this: Who would have thought that a 7 month old baby would have enough hair to sport pigtails!!!! When I walked into the room and saw her I let out a very big áaaaawwwwhhhh' at how cute she looked. The fact that she was turning herself inside out to see me, grinning at me like a cheshire cat added to the cute factor.
She prattles on quite a lot, mostly with bababa and mumum, the former when she is happy the latter when she is feeling a little more needy! She is definately a Mummy's Girl, the moment I walk into the room or she hears my voice she is looking for me, wanting me, arms outstretched begging me to pick her up....so I do!!! I mean who could resist such cuteness!
For the record (as this is where I am recording these things), she is now 9kg clothed and is 70.5cm in length. She still cant lift her belly off the floor, so obviously isn't crawling yet. Can push herself backwards just a litle and will roll around if she has to! Loves to be in her walker though and loves to bounce up and down on her toes when being held.
Ethan has begun Kindy, two full days and has settled in really well. He loves the fact that this is the step before going to school! Mind you his other behaviour is a little less desireable atm, but I guess it is his way of adjusting to the changes around him.
Cam has already had detention at school! He seems to think that it is fun to chase other students around the class with a paint brush during art class!! Not just once but in two consecutive art classes! If only we could channell his energies for good rather than evil! LOL!!
Lachlan has been great for me lately. So helpful and eager to do what I ask. I really think that he understands with Paul being at work in the evenings and I'm trying to get them fed, bathed, homework done and into bed that he needs to be as co-operative and helpful as possible. They all seem to be better at night when it is just me on my own. Or they have just learnt from previous experience that it is better to behave than have to witness cranky mummy!! LOL!!
Well I had a birthday the other week, so now I am hopefully wiser to go with the older part of the package but I am afraid that the jury might be out on that one! I guess getting older is just a part of living, and mostly it doesn't bother me as chronological age has nothing to do with how old you feel.
Other exciting news, my husband has identical twin sisters and they are both pregnant. One is 18 weeks and the other 12 weeks and Leanne (who is 18 weeks) is having a baby girl!! I am so excited, now I have my fingers crossed that Nat will be having a girl as well, so there will be 3 little girls running around and playing together at family get togethers!
Also want to say a huge congrats to Nic Wood on the safe arrival of her little girl, Jacinta. So pleased that she arrived safe and sound!
